Title:Power of Agreement: Part 6
Speaker:Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Acts
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
What is significant about 120 people being together. To us none, but it would have been to the Israelite. When Nehemiah returned to build the Temple, he realized that the reason that people were turning away from God so often is that they were not being taught properly the ways of God, so he instituted a structure that exist to this day, the Synagogue. Here the people that were scattered could learn the ways of God and turn from idolatry. In Jerusalem, there was a Great Synagogue that held 120 leaders of the Synagouges. So a number like 120 was something the Jewish people would notice. 120 can be broken up to 10 X 12. In Bible 10 tends to be the number of order and 12 the number for governments. So the number 120 has other importance as well.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
There is only one way possible to to have that type of ministry, and that is the Love of God.
John 13
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Love is the gas that makes the unity vehicle go. When things are uncommon, like people showing love for one another, other people are attracted to it and will flock to it.
Ephesians 5:
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
We are to be imitating God like a young boy does his daddy, but how are we to do that?
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
4:
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
What we see here are many types of anger. It does not matter what type it is, if it is slow, or slander, which is managed info. Clamor, from the greek that means the cry of a crow, which sounds like it is ticked or malice, a desire to see someone suffer, these things we are to put out of our lives.
Love is a choice, we have to choose to do it. When you do choose to walk in Love, the Holy Spirit will guide you
I John 4
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
I Corinthians 13:
8 Charity [LOVE] never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; F49 whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
F49: fail: Gr. vanish away
Romans 5
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
It has to clearly come from God.

We at CRJournal.com believe that God has started a revolution! The basis of this revolution is to counteract the unbiblical stance of some ministers who are using their leadership roles to treat the children of God under their care with force and cruelty (Ezekiel 34:1-10). Issues of orthodoxy are at the very core of this revolution. The cries of the hurt, abused, abandoned, ripped off, manipulated and oppressed have not fallen on deaf ears. God is the Great Shepherd, and he will not be mocked by the likes of such men or women who mistreat the sheep in His name to further establish their own power and wealth.Have not had time to get into site in depth, but I welcome it. There are many false teachings in the Charsimatic sphere, as well as true ones. I pray that they stay withing the framework they have stated, and attack the mistakes and not the man or the ministry.
I always sort of liked Tax Cut over Turbo Tax anyway.
The FBI says hate crimes against Muslims and other groups may increase if the United States invades Iraq or if it experiences another terrorist attack. If Christians are doing this they are not Christians. People stop and think! WWJD?

They going to blame this on Thomas the Tank Engine also?

The children's hit television series Thomas the Tank Engine shows too many crashes and may be making children frightened of going on a train, according to a British psychologist. And what does this man have to say about the Teletubbies I wonder. After all they are always bumping into each other.

Don't let some web site or TV comentator tell you what Bush said. Read it for yourself.
“We flat out messed up on this one,” he told the Austin American-Statesman. “Shame on us for leaving the door open, and shame on them for exploiting it. Our No. 1 goal is to get those data back before they get misused.”Or in other words, we want to close the barn door after the horse has left. If you use one number for everything (and we do, it is called our Social Security Number) then this stuff is going to happen. I am surprised that it has not happened more.
Fear of Death Abolished by Christ Jesus
TV/Webcast for Sunday, February 23
All scripture noted here is from the King James Bible. These are notes
that I got from the show, please listen to it your self at his Webcast website.
Hebrews 2:
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
On the same day that Jesus bore your sins, sickness, etc. He delivered you from the fear of death. (v. 15). A lot of people worry and do not realize they are doing it. Worry is a manifestation of fear. You can sit with nothing on your mind, in 20 min., without thinking about anything, you will be in fear of something.
that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
The devil does not have power over death anymore. Jesus accepted death, He let death take Him, because He had no sin. He had to accept sin by faith just like we have to accept salvation by faith. Once he made Himself to death, accepting it, then His body could die. He accepted our sin, death came. He bore the death, sicknesses and diseases, our sins. He had to take them and took them to hell for us. The Word says he was the seed of David, but Jesus knew no earthly father. David prophesied the Jesus would come and keep him (David) from staying in hell. Jesus had to come to get David and all the rest from hell. Death was overcome by the light in its own domain, hell itself, and He returned to pick up His body, proving that the Word has power over death. Satan could not keep death on Jesus. Death has now lost its power. Jesus overcame it.
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
The fear of death makes you subject to bondage. Bondage depends on fear.
Romans 8
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
We are not free to go back to bondage to fear again. I am delivered from fear of bondage.
We have spirit of adoption, love from the Father.
2 Timothy 1:
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Jesus abolished death then, therefore it is abolished here and now.
Satan's ability has been paralyzed and he is now subject to the authority of the Body of Christ.
Luke 1:
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Death is the enemy.

"OZZY OSBOURNE is probably the best advertisement for "Don't Take Drugs' that you can ever get. He's a doddering old fool that nobody takes seriously."Snicker Snicker
-- Radio-TV pundit BILL O'REILLY in the Chicago Tribune.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Bob Morales and his wife sat through advertisements for the Cartoon Network, the NBC show "Boomtown" and AOL Broadband.Uh, I do not get to the movies much and when I do it is usually the dollar thearter, but gee, when did the big groundswell start about this. I can remember this going on in theaters 10 years ago. Coke was always a big ad campaign, as was automobiles, usually Fords if memory serves me correctly. Just seems people are starting to notice it now I guess.
There was a pitch for the U.S. Army, another for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Morales would have accepted the promotional barrage at home in front of the television, but it annoyed him to go through it at the movie theater.
"That's why we come to a theater, so we wouldn't see advertising," said Morales, at a Regal Cinemas Theater in Pasadena for a weekend matinee of "About Schmidt."
Europa is one of only a few places in the solar system other than Earth where life might be possible. The ice-covered Europa, astrobiologists suspect, could harbor liquid oceans under its frozen surface. It has been the subject of preliminary studies by the Voyager spacecraft in the early 1980s and more recently by the Galileo spacecraft, which flew within 900 miles of the moon's surface in February 1999.I just finished reading 3001: Final Odesy by Arthur C Clark tonight. The moon Europa is a big part in this book as it is in 2010. Isn't it weird when you read something and the it seems to show up in news stories real soon afterwards.

Title: The Power of Agreement (Part 5)
Speaker: Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3:3
Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?
A relationship cannot last without agreement. There has to be definition to have any lasting relationship. In other words, the rules of the relationship, what is expected have to be laid out before hand. God even did that in the creation of Adam.
Genesis 1:
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
God here is defining the rules and delegating the authority to Adam. He is defining the relationship.
Genesis 2:
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward F11 the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. 15 And the LORD God took the man, F12 and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
God gives boundaries to Adam. He defines what it is that Adam can and cannot do in his relationship to God. It also defines what God will do for man.
Genesis 9:
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Again, now with Noah, God defines the relationship that He will have with His creation.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
God is laying out the way that the animals are to act towards man. Wild animals fear man, why? Because God has defined it to be that way.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
If you like it or not, Cheeseburgers are scriptural. Now if you do not want to eat meat, that is fine, but it is biblical to eat meat.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Clearly, there is a rule to be followed here. Though we are to eat meat, but we are not to eat of the blood of the animal, it is the life source.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Though many may try to dismiss it, it is clear that capital punishment is defined in this pair of verses. Even God says that the animals that kill man will be held accountable for what they have done, for man is in God's image.
Have you ever noticed that when people walk with God we need less rules. Our society has evolved to many rules, but fifty years ago this was not so. You took a person on his word, now signed contracts are in order, and people will sue for stupid reasons. How intelligent do you have to be to pull to the side of the road to prepare your coffee from McDonald's, yet people will sue because they burned there lap because the coffee was to hot and they were drinking it while they were driving. Or suing some fast food restaurant because you are too fat.
Jesus in His day defined the relationship He had with His disciples in His ministry
Luke 9:
1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
Since there was a relationship that all Israelites were to have with strangers, Jesus is clearly defining what they are to do to people that will not listen to what they have to see, the relationship they were to have with the people of Israel.
The strength of any relationship is in how clearly the rules are defined. Institutions that are a success clearly define the standards that they expect. That is why we are having so many problems with companies today. If things are not clearly defined then there will be problems. (Note from self: am studying this in Accounting Information Systems, these are called internal controls in companies). When things are not clearly defined, someone winds up getting taken advantage of. It is always the leaders job to define that relationship. We see an example of this in Paul's life.
Philippians 4
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
So what is Paul saying here? He is telling them to pattern their life after his. What type of life did Paul have before them? For that answer go back to the Book of Acts.
Acts 16
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
This story happened in Phillipi, and all the Philipians would have known it. So Paul is saying to them look at the life that I lived before you and use it as an example to pattern yourselves after.
Philippians 4
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
It is not normal for people to be praising God when they are in chains in prison. If any of us today had it happen to us while we were doing a work for God, we would grumble, complain, and talk about never serving God in the ministry again. But Paul does not do that, at midnight, as best as he could he lifted his hands to God and praised him, and the earthquake came and freed he him. It is clear what Paul is saying, re-order your thought life. If it is not a good thing, if it is negative or bad, do not dwell on it, get it out of your mind and get on with things.
In v. 7 he talks about the peace of God, in v. 9 the God of peace. Is there a difference? Yes. When we first come to God we want more than any thing else, peace in our lives. Most often we come to Him in a turbulent time and we want that peace that only God can provide to us, so we seek the peace of God. Once we become Christians we must now keep focused on those things that are of a good report. In doing that, in stead of seeking the peace of God, we now turn to the God of peace. We must learn to focus on these things.
all scripture is from the King James version of the Bible. These are my notes from being in the service and do not reflect on what Pastor George actual said, but on what I heard.

Okay, I admit, this is a totally silly and pointless piece of software. If you live so much in a box that you don't read, watch, or listen to any news at least once every couple of days, perhaps this application will help keep you in touch with reality. If you do try to keep up with world events, you will probably hear about a significant terrorism threat through some other means before this program gets around to letting you know about it. This program is just for fun, despite its serious theme. And that quote is from the author. Still nice to keep track of things for us compute bound people.

"It is only by the middle of January and thereafter that Iraq has taken a number of steps, which have the potential of resulting either in the presentation for destruction of stocks or items that are proscribed or the presentation of relevant evidence solving long-standing unresolved disarmament issues".Are we playing hide and seek or are we responsible adults. Iraq, you want us to trust you, show us you are trustworthy. It is a case of put up or shut up.
Children of military parents across Maine are being harassed in school, in some cases by teachers who claim the little ones' mothers and fathers are wrong to fight for their country, according to families' complaints.I do not care if you are for or against the war. If this is true, THIS IS WRONG!
Kennedy tells his younger associates that Bush's application of an ideological litmus test constitutes the "worst" judicial nomination process he has seen in 40 years of service.Well so much for bi-partsian support. I hope these liberals understand that bi-patsian does not mean you support us and we support us.
"I believe that those of us who are the producers and purveyors of television -- or video games or newspapers or any mass media -- I believe that we are the servants of this nation," Rogers said.Though I am not of an age that watched Mr. Rogers, my children have, and much like Barney, he was made fun of because of his need to communicate to children on their level. Mr. Rogers, I hope when I get to heaven, God let's me be your neighbor. May God bless your family in this dificult time.
And what seemed to be the consensus? That Bush planned a "war against God." Eskidjian earned applause when she stated, "No nation is entitled to prosecute vengeance." So now we know how the WCC folks in Geneva feel about the upcoming conflict's intent -- vengeance. That's it! And of course we also know that God says in the Old Testament, "Vengeance is mine." (Deuteronomy 32:35).
To be fair to Kock, de Clermont and some of the others, they did mention that Saddam Hussein was not a nice guy. But they wanted to know: Why not leave it to the United Nations to take his lethal toys away from him? Said de Clermont, "The U.N. is capable of disarming Iraq." Alas, de Clermont failed to address the underlying question why this has not been accomplished in the last 12 years.
An interesting read that I might post to Christdot if I was still posting there. So I post here and invite you to read and comment on. Is "vengence mine says the Lord", or does God expect us to take care of it and how do we know President Bush did not hear from him??
The Boston Red Sox, those devoted preservers of tradition and history (just ask them), will begin selling seats atop the Green Monster Saturday -- the equivalent, you would think, of carving a couple of luxury suites out of Teddy Roosevelt's teeth on Mount Rushmore.Having grown up looking at the green monster on many ocassions, I shudder at what they are doing to my stadium. But then again it is not my stadium. I can remember the way it was in my memories.

"We don't want Mr. Jones to have any more duress. We don't want him to take off work to fight this ticket, so, we're going to pay it for him and thank him for stopping and helping this lady."A tow company wanting to pay the ticket of a guy who was taking business from him. Think I might call Abertson Towing if I need a tow sometime.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
A Good Samaritan, who was pulling people out of the snow during Sunday's storm, got ticketed by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.Do something good and get a ticket. What is this world comming to! At least warn the guy if you say you warned him. The news is saying that people want to pay his ticket for him. I think the OHP is going to loose face on this one.

Title: The Power of Agreement (Part 4)
Speaker: Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3:3
Can two people walk together without
agreeing on the direction?
If you are a Christian you are a disciple. You are bound by the
Word.
If a person is a thinker, he can get confused because he will
challange the Word when it does not make logical sense. For that
reason, thinkers need to stay in the Word. They need to agree
with what it says.
If you are not honor bound to your word, you will move to the
leat level of resistance.
Acts 15:1
While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of
Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the Christians:
"Unless you keep the ancient Jewish custom of circumcision taught by
Moses, you cannot be saved."
As we see here, growth produces problems.
2Paul and Barnabas, disagreeing with them, argued forcefully and at length. Finally, Paul and Barnabas were sent to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question. 3 The church sent the delegates to
Jerusalem, and they stopped along the way in Phoenicia and Samaria to visit the believers. They told them – much to everyone's joy – that the Gentiles, too, were being converted. 4 When they arrived in Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabas were welcomed by the whole
church, including the apostles and elders. They reported on what God had been doing through their ministry.
5 But then some of the men who had been Pharisees before their conversion stood up and declared that all Gentile converts must be circumcised and be required to follow the law of Moses.
These people were comming in and saying that the new Christians needed to obey the law of Moses before they could be Christians. But what fixed the problem was commitment to the word.
6 So the apostles and church elders got together to decide this question.
You will never have agreement unless you get together on the Word. Look what happened.
v. 7 Peter stood and addressed them...
v. 12 Barnabas and Paul told...
v. 13 James stood and said...
They all spoke about what God had done, and better yet, they got together and aggreded.
Agreement at the top elimanates dificulties below
1 Corinthians 5:1-6 1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For
I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Paul got them all in agreement that this man was wrong, and that he needed to be turned over to Satan since he would not step out of the sin he was living in. And it worked, when he got isolated, he got sick, and Paul says in 2 Corinthians that he asked forgivness to let him return to the church. He asked for redemption, he got it. Agreement can stop wickedness.
If people are in agreement, anything can be done
Genesis
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
God had to stop them, they could do it otherwise. But they were doing it for the wrong purpose. They wanted to be on equal with God. No. God stoped them from doing that.

Tulsa 8Not a score, the amount of snow we had this week. John my class mate in Bartlesville had 12 inches. In Claremore, where Kevin and Jane, a couple of other classmates live they had 8 inches. Now as college students we get to stay home from school right!? Nope, we are on line through RSU Online. Our classes never get cannceled. SIGH.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Gov. Brad Henry called his lottery proposal the "only game in town" to bail out education Thursday night, but a Republican lawmaker said he wouldn't risk children's futures on such an uncertain scheme.
The governor debated longtime Rep. Forrest Claunch just hours after the state House backed off making a decision on whether to send the issue to a vote of the people.
What is the matter with the people deciding? We get ignored anyway. Anyone remember the cock-fighting bill, or did that happen to long ago (last September). Make your votes, then if we do not like the way you vote, then we can vote you out. Or what are we really paying you people for anyway!
THINGS WE DON'T UNDERSTANDLast I knew the Gideons donated the Bibles and the hotels/motels choose to put them in. Who is paying for the condoms they want to put in. Sorry, the peoples tax money, mine if I lived in New York state, would be what pays for it. Or the hotel would have to charge more to provide these state mandated condoms. Either way, the people who do not want them are being forced to pay for the ones that do. I believe a war was fought over this, the quote I remember is "Taxation without representation is tyrany". Hopefully this is a bill that will not pass.
Two Democratic state senators in New York want to make sure condoms join Bibles as regular features in hotels, motels and inns.

A former Seton Hall University professor caught in a controversy over e-mail message she sent calling students "mental midgets," "immature" and "lying sacks of s--t" says her only regret was not quitting last September. From that one quote you would think they were right in dropping her. But read the article, she was reacting to quotes made about her on a web page called myprofessorsucks.com. I think that both groups need a little growing up to do. I personaly as a student would not openly critique my instructors on such a web site, but I know how I would feel as a teacher if my name were there. The students were wrong, but so was she. My $.02 worth anyway.

What is he talking about... a fake visa program that lets people get into the USA under the guise of being needed to fill religious openings in mosques (and other religious institutions as well). I think the program needs to be shut down till we can plug the hole.
Human rights watchdog Privacy International has launched a quest to find the World's Most Stupid Security Measure.
The global competition will identify what the group describes as the most "pointless, intrusive, annoying and self-serving" security measures.
The "Stupid Security" award aims to highlight the absurdities of the security industry. Privacy International's director, Simon Davies, said his group has taken the initiative because of "innumerable" security initiatives around the world that had absolutely no genuine security benefit.

Looking for a Bible Memorization program, look no further. For free the cost is right. and the only thing wrong with the program is that it assumes that you are telling the truth if you say you have memorized a verse. Of course, why would you lie if you were trying to memorize the Bible?

Let me get his all straight. A teacher uses a classroom for 10 min to do a math problem about how many people were killed in the holocaust and in abortions, and calculate to the local pro football field. Now he has to apologize because abortion and the holocaust were off topic and controversial. We have sex education being taught as if there is no need to wait till you are married, satanic holidays (Holoween) celebrated, and Christian Holidays (Christmas, Easter) watered down (winter break or seasonal holidays, spring break), and the Lord know what else, but a man talks about abortion and asks the kids to calculate how many footall stadiums of babies we have killed, and he is wrong. Sigh...

Reading Genesis 6 - 9
Chapter 6
v. 1 - 2 What were these sons of God. Fallen angels, or Godly men (from Seth's line)?
v 3 Man had to have his life shortened. The longer he lived, the more sin he lived in, the more depraved this world got.
v 4 - 5 support the thoughts above.
v 6 - 8 God plans to destroy man and the earth. But Noah stops the complete destruction.
v 9 - 12 Do you realize that if Noah had been corrupt as well, we would not be here to talk about it. It is only through Noah that we are continued.
v 13 - 22 God tells Noah what to do and makes a covenant with him. This is the first covenant between man and God in the Bible (at least named a covenant). In these verses Noah is commanded only to bring in two of every animal.
Chapter 7
v 1 - 3 In what appears to be a contridiction, God commands more animals that two of certain types. The pair were for continuation of the species, the extras were for sacrafices.
v 4 No doubt about it here. God is going to destroy the earth.
v 5 - 12 And God does
v 13 - 24 All on the earth were destroyed. The fish were not destroyed, they could not be by the water, but what did it do to their eco-system?
Chapter 8
v 1 As if He should ever forget anyone of us, God remembers Noah, thinking fondly of him.
v 2 - 6 And when God thinks fondly, the rain stops.
v 7 - 14 Noah wisely tests to see if it is safe to come out of the Ark. God who had been so clear in how to build the ark and populate it is now silent when it comes time to leave.
v 15 - 19 But then He does speak, it is time to leave the ark and take all out, and Noah does.
v 20 - 21 The covenant is completed. Noah offers the sacrafice. God brought him through and he offers to God what will cover the sins of his past.
v. The pricipal of seedtime and harvest is here. Like there is heat and cold, day and night, there will be a time of planting and a time of reaping. That planting can be of yourself, your finace, what ever, but it is a principal that what you reap you will havest.
Chapter 9
v 1 - 3 All living things and plants are given for us to eat. Just one rule.
v 4 If it still has the blood of life in it, do not eat it.
v 5 - 6 God will require the beast to give its life if it eats the blood. Just as he will man.
v 7 - 17 The sign of the bow (the sign of the hunter) is placed in the sky, as a symbol that God will not destroy all by a flood ever again. This flood and this bow are not signs that man has risen above the fallen state, only that God has been able to remove much evil so that he can start anew his plan for redemption.
v 18 - 28 Very obscure to me what went on, Ham does something wrong and his sone gets punished.
Psalm 3
Though David was at a time of trouble, a time when it looked like he could not win, he trusted in the Lord who heard (and responed) from His holy hill. That my faith could ever be that strong.

Reading Genesis 3 - 5
Chapter 3
1 - 5 One rule is all they had. One stinking rule. Eat or do not eat. I have asked myself for years why could they not keep one stinking rule. But I saw in reading this time something new. Eating ment they were ruling themselves, not letting God rule them. In other words, it could have been any rule, like 'Don't kick the cat!' and man would have still broken it because by nature man is not one to be ruled over but to rule over others. The very authority he was given in Chapter 2 is what led to the downfall here. He wanted self control, not God control. And we strugle with it even now.
Eve enlarges the truth here. Is she doing it on purpose, did Adam teach her falsely, why?
v. 6 Did Adam know what Eve was giving her to eat. I have heard preachers say that it is his fault, he was there with her and took the fruit willingly. But I am not so sure about that. Maybe she gave it to him and he had been off somewhare working. In the end it is all bad, we have the fall. I have read where people say Adam could have stoped the fall because he took and ate willingly, not decived like Eve was. How much of this is men-bashing? I sure Adam should have recognized the fruit so it is a mute point.
v. 7 - 8 They were naked. They had seen the power now, they were naked. They were vulnerable. There is more than phyical nakedness here, there is the eternal power strugle that has gone on through the ages.
v 9 Can you hear God, "Kids what are you doing?" As a parent I can see it.
v 10 - 11 How did he know he was naked? The fruit. But look at the reaction. He is vulnerable to God. Instead of talking to God, he is no longer on that equal level he was on before. He is now subserviant to God. He is naked, exposed to him.
v 12 - 13 Here we have the oldest profession in the Bible. It is called passing the buck. It still goes on today.
v 14 Why is the serpant cursed? Did he allow Satan to use him. Did the animal kingdom have a greater ability before the fall? Does this curse cause all the animals to fall under it or just the serpant?
v. 15 Clearly the promise of the Messiah and what would happen. The serpant would appear to defeat Him, but in the end, the Messiah would crush the serpant.
v. 16 God says clearly the problem here that is in most marriges today. Your desire shall be to rule over your husband, but he is to rule over you (my rough translation). Man is not to be an abuser in this situation. But no matter what, he is to lead. It is up to the woman to learn not to take the leadership role, to go against what is being taught in the world today. There is to be a joint-sharing of the power but in the end, the man to make the decisions.
v. 17 - 19 The man gets the worst sentance here. Woman is just going to get a desire to rule over the husband, but man is going to get to work the rest of his life, and it is to be hard work. And it will not come without many problems. Want to know why you have problems at work. Thank Adam for the bristles and thorns.
v. 21 Man's work (fig leaves) will never do in redemption. Blood has to be shed (leather clothes).
v. 22 - 24 Man is now removed from the direct communion that he had with God. He can no longer talk to God when he wants to as he could in the garrden, he is now limited to when God wants to talk to him.
If man had eaten from the tree of life, would he forever live in his sins? Is this a foreshadow of the person Jesus who would give us life on a tree (cross)?
Chapter 4
v 1 - 2 We see here the farmer and the herdsman. They are forever at odds with each other throughtout history.
v 3 - 5 Why did God not respect the offering of Cain? Was it not meat, that was of the blood, necessary to cover the sins? Was it an attitute problem, giving some food, maybe not the best. Able offfers first fruits, the first of the born of his heards. Cain offers some food. I think it was more than the blood, I think it was the attitude. He did not bring the best or the first, he brought some. And when what he brought was not good enough, did he look to himself to find out why? Or did he get angry and blame others? How about me? When I do not do my best, do I get angry at others for it?
v 6 - 8 God says to him that his efforts need to be his best efforts, not just getting by. And if he does not then anger will take over. And it does.
v 9 We are our brothers keeper, and if we do not do so, we will suffer from not taking care of him.
v 10 - 15 Even though God cursed Cain, He gave him, the sinner, a mark, so that no one else would kill him. He protected the sinner even when he did not deserve it.
v 16 - 24 A short listing of the decendants of Cain.
Also near the end of this, sin is increasing. Lamach is bosting of his sin.
v 25 Seth is born to replace the killed Able. The bloodline of Jesus has started. Did Satan use Cain here to stop the bloodline of Jesus from starting only to have it backfire when Eve became pregnant again?
Chapter 5
From Adam to Noah, 10 people total. Another 10 like 'God spoke'.
Psalm 2
v 1 - 3 People will always try to break from God's rule, just as the nations will try to fight the anointed one God had put on the throne of Israel. I guess the anointed one on the throne of our heart is moved out by our desire to rule our own lives.
v 4 - 6 God laughs at the whole thing. He has set the authority on the throne.
v 7 - 9 God tells his Son that all He has to do is ask for the nations and He shall have them. Jesus did that (john 17). But gave us the job to do it.
v 10 - 12 All the nations (and the people) are to submit to God.

Reading Genesis 1 - 2
Chapter1
v.1 The created item is responsible to the creator for his actions. As a creation of God, I can only be responsible to my creator, and I am responsible to persue Christlikeness so that I can reproduce Him in my life.
God created, has the meaning of formed out or carved out.
v.2 If the earth was without form and void (chaos), did God fail in creating the earth? Or is it that the process is a continual one, that takes time, even for our God, and it took God the 6 full days to bring order out of what He had created?
v. 3 - 29 As each day happens the order of the earth becomes more and more prominant. Notice also that God has order in each day (there was evening and morning..., God saw that it was good..., etc). Also each item needed to be in exsistance before the other one could. God is truly a God of order.
Another thing to note is that there are 10 "and God's said." Is this any relation to the decaloge that he will give to Moses later?
God created the family here.. he created man (male and female) when he created Adam. And he made us in His image. A combined unit of one, a family.
Chapter 1 ends, all is perfect. Why are we in disharmony now?
Chapter 2
v1 - 3 Could God really rest? Would the mere napping of God put us out of exsistance? What we have here is no further creation.
v 4 - 7 Man was formed, and breath the breath of life into his nostrils. What seperates man from the animals, they were all formed, but in man is breathed the breath of life. I content that no matter what they try to do, they will never prove evolution as God breathed life into Adam, and that is what seperates us from the animals. What ever it was that was breathed in seperates us. We have a body as does any animal, and we have a soul, a part of us that thinks, which I believe the animals do, but what seperates us is what God breathed into us, I believe a spirit. It makes us a triune being like God, and sperates us from the animals.
v 8 - 9 The trees, Life and death. Why did God put them both there?
v 16 - 17 All God had for Adam to follow was one rule. Notice here that Eve has not been created. When she was created, since Adam was male and female, did she have all the knowledge he did as to what God said (she is responsible for the fall), or did Adam have the only knowledge (Adam is responsible for not telling Eve properly)?
v 18 - 20 God gave Adam authority over the earth, and He proves it here. Adam names the animals. We see that God is not the authority over this earth at this point, Adam is, and that sets up for the transfer of authority that is about to take place.
Psalm 1
v. 1 Sin is progressive. You walk, stand and sit in it. By then it is to late. What keeps you from it?
v 2 meditate the word, have it become a part of you so that if you were cut into a million pieces, each part would have that bit of the Word in it.
v 3 So many have problems with the prosperity message. I guess they need to take this verse out. What ever he does prospers. Now, my time is not God's time. And I do not know when the time of completion is. This is not like my batchlor's degree I am working on, when I take certain classes, I get my degree. Only God knows for sure when my classes are over and my prosperity is on the way.
v. 4 The ungodly, those sitting earlier, are uprooted and blown about like chaff, parts of the harvest that have no use and irrate you, only suitable for burning, and so light they blow around with a light wind.
v. 5 Though on this earth they may judge me, in the end, they will not, My God will judge me, I will not be in their judgement and they will not be in my group. We will be permanatly seperated, and they like chaff will only be good for fuel for the fire.
v 6 God knows both of our ways.
